They basically told us to do more, more, and brighter, brighter to keep their attention. (This was a class about teaching older children, and not even really for the littles, by the way.) They let us know that children these days are used to electronics and flashy things and it's tougher to compete with that. It made me sad, though it did make me reevaluate things in my own home, even with my own habits, because there's plenty to improve on. There's been changes, but I DO still love ridiculousness in stories, occasionally! ;)(which is why I tend to love British authors so much)Bluerosehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00680170638396181756noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31647067.post-27499855342366780792015-07-27T05:44:12.336-07:002015-07-27T05:44:12.336-07:00Thanks Carrie for those reviews of new picture boo...Thanks Carrie for those reviews of new picture books! We actually just checked out from the library & read another book by Dubuc called "The Lion & the Bird." It was our first book by her & it was a delight! A sweet, sweet tale of loyalty & friendship. (An especially helpful resource for your children if they have a dear friend that moves away.) I highly recommend it!Sarahnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31647067.post-25507256722739818302015-07-25T16:45:45.710-07:002015-07-25T16:45:45.710-07:00The tea party sounds delightful!
