Friday's Favs

I keep seeing this meme around and every week I tell myself I plan on participating the next week. Every week I forget and the cycle viciously repeats itself. Really wanting to participate, this week I'm just going to DO IT and begin making it a habit.

Hosted by Living to Tell the Story, the goal of this meme is to share 5 favorite things from your week. These five things can be anything at all. I wanted to do this post because it reminds me to be grateful for things all throughout the week. It kinda feels like Pollyanna's Glad Game in a way. =D These are the 5 things I'm glad of from the past week:

1. Getting an update on Bookworm2 who we are in the process of adopting. He is growing up healthy and strong.

2. This book that I just finished reading and reviewing for 5 Minutes for Books which changed the way I think about how I spend my time online:

3. That my Texas nephew, who was sick this week, is gradually getting better.

4. Isaiah 54:10

Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed," says the LORD, who has compassion on you.

5. My best friend. And I've used this song before but it's in my head this morning. Are you married to YOUR best friend? Take a listen.

Happy Friday!

Welcome to FFF! It's a great way to look at your week. And it does change how you focus your attention all week long.

Hurray for BookWorm2! I'm looking forward to hearing more about him!

That book sounds like something I definitely need to read! I'll write down the title...

Glad your nephew is better.

I've never heard that song, but I love it!

How exciting that you are adopting. Great news update on him for you. So glad to hear that your sweet little nephew is feeling better.

Love the scripture you shared! You did an absolutely wonderful list for your first fave 5.

I'm so glad you joined in! I'm not naturally a "positive attitude" person, but it's funny how so often I get to Friday, and it seems like it's been kind of a blah or dull week, but when I begin to search for things for things meme I usually find more than 5, and it changes my whole perspective.

It's so good you can get updates on Bookworm2 -- glad he's doing well. And so good to hear your nephew is getting better.

That is a comforting ad reassuring Scripture.

Welcome! Hope you stick around every week......

I also should probably read that book...I'll have to look it up.

What a wonderful scripture - it's amazing, isn't it, how many different ways God says the same thing to us? Always reassuring us of His love.

I didn't read this Friday, I read it Sunday. But I needed that Bible verse. Thanks Carrie!
