Noel Swap

To change the topic today just a little (from our look at various publishers) . . . for over a year now I've been following Carrie's blog, With All That I've Been Given. I think she found me first and she noticed me because we share the same name. (It's fun to find other Carrie's who spell their name the same way.) Through Carrie, I found her sister, Monica who writes the blog The Homespun Heart. Now I follow both and over the course of the year they'll host various "Sister Shoebox Swaps." I've seen a few of these go by but when I saw that they were doing a Noel Christmas swap, I wanted in! I LOVE Christmas and swaps are fun (and full of surprises).

I was matched with Chocolate on My Cranium (which it frequently is). You can see what I sent her by clicking on this link. Her charming box arrived in the mail a little over a week ago.

Inside I found a whole host of goodies, including some wooden reindeer puzzles, some St. Nick notecards, some book plates, and a book by Eleanor Porter (authoress of Pollyanna) called Just David which I'm very much looking forward to reading.

One thing I was very excited to find inside my box, and probably my favorite things, were some Christmas aprons that she made for myself and Bookworm1. I was going to take a picture of us in them, however, we're sick and taking pictures right now isn't my cup of tea! =D But you can see them here and agree with me that they are extremely adorable. I'm very excited to have them!

** Insert note here: the aprons are beyond adorable and I will get a picture with us in them by the end of the week. However, at this point, I'm too sick to work that hard and so with apologies I'm going to let that post go and offer an apology and a "wait and see!"

This Christmas swap was a lot of fun! Thank you, Monica & Carrie, for hosting! Thank you to Chocolate on My Cranium for the fun gifts! You did a wonderful job coming up with ways to bless both me and my family and I appreciate your efforts and creativity! Blessings!

I'm sorry you've been sick -- hope you feel better soon.

I hope the sickness leaves soon so you can make some cookies with Bookworm1. You'll like Just David!
