Lucy Maud Montgomery Challenge 2011 - conclusion

**THE WINNER OF A COPY OF MAGIC FOR MARIGOLD IS - #26 - Stephanie's Mommy Brain**

Yes, my friends, our (official) time with Lucy Maud Montgomery and her lovely books and characters has come to an end. Just because the L.M. Montgomery Reading Challenge has come to an end, doesn't mean your reading of her works must stop! (I am most pleased to have heard from some of you that you are just getting started!) It's been a fun month and I've very much enjoyed it. I hope you have also.

Now is the time to leave us your links! What did you manage to read? How many reviews/thoughts did you write up about the challenge? Leave your links/wrap-up posts in the comment section below. I look forward to seeing what you all have thought and what your Montgomery reading experiences have been.

As is my habit- I'll create a post that organizes your links which will go up next week. Feel free to visit around now, of course, but do know that I'll give you the links in a convenient post in a bit. I like to give people a few days to get their posts up and linked before I provide the list though so that no one gets left out of the main link post!

Thank you for reading along and sharing with us! If you are the planning type, go ahead and mark your calendars for next January when we'll gather again and revisit some more of our favorites - both on and off The Island! =)

This was my first year to participate and I've really enjoyed it! Thanks for hosting, Carrie. :-) I might have never read some of these other L.M. Montgomery titles otherwise, even though they've been on my shelf for years! I read 4 books, but didn't get around to any of the movies/tv series like I'd hoped. Here's my wrap-up post: http://homewithpurpose.blogspot.com/2011/01/lm-montgomery-reading-challenge-january.html

My wrap-up post is here:
http://barbarah.wordpress.com/2011/01/28/lucy-maud-montgomery-reading-challenge-wrap-up/

I read Anne of Avonlea, Anne of the Island, and Anne of Windy Poplars and watched Anne of Green Gables: The Sequel. I also started a biography of LMM but am only a third of the way through it.

Thank you, Carrie! I really enjoyed it and am looking forward to next year.

After Les Miserables took half the month, I only was able to finish Emily of New Moon. My review is here. I'm already in the middle of Emily Climbs, however, because I couldn't wait until next year to see what happens.

I look forward to joining in again next year, though whether I'll be able to wait till then to read the books that have made their way onto my wishlist, I don't know!

Thanks for hosting this, Carrie. I love a good book party! I'm looking forward to next year's challenge already.

I only read Emily of New Moon but I plan to continue reading Lucy Maude's books throughout the year. I've already ordered Jane of Lantern Hill.

I set my expectations fairly low for this month, and mostly succeeded in reaching the ones I'd stated at the beginning of the challenge. I show you my progress on the part I HADN'T mentioned in my wrap-up post.
