E-mail Addresses and Giveaway Problems

Just a note to say:

I closed two contests today (The Fruitful Wife and Betsy-Tacy) and in both cases I had to hit the Random.org button several times before I found a winner who I knew I would be able to contact.

I tried no less than four times to find a winner I could contact on The Fruitful Wife - and that's one I was eager to giveaway! I did find winners, after trying to find e-mails in profiles (which were not available to me or e-mail addresses which were not readily available on your blogs.)

In each giveaway post I specifically state that you need to leave a valid e-mail address IN the comment for me to be able to contact you if your name was drawn as a winner. I'm not trying to bossy - I'm just trying to alert winners! And lately I've had a hard time contacting the winners!

So the rule around here is: if you do not leave a valid e-mail address for me to contact you by if you are are the winner, I'm going to select someone who DID leave an e-mail address.

Not trying to sound huffy here (at all) but please DO leave a valid e-mail address IN your comment! You might be glad you did!

Thank you!

Thank you for the reminder. I always assume--incorrectly, I guess--that since my blogger profile lists my email I don't need to put it in each comment.

Yeah, some people have it and some people don't It turned out that each person I happened to pick either did NOT have it on their profile or had a private profile which I couldn't view.

If I had seen it on any profile I pulled up - I would have contacted them. The problem was how much *time* I spent trying to do this.

I kinda value my time. :D Hence the rule. But thanks for stickin' it in in the future! And for leaving a comment so that I could further clarify. Appreciate that also!

You could always just pick my name--you even have both my email AND my mailing address! giggle

Ooooh yes, I think this is something I do by accident. Probably because I wrongly assume you'll just let me know in person. But that's not fair. Thanks for the reminder, Carrie. It's not bossy. It's just letting us know. :-D
