Friday Favs

First off, thanks to Suzanne for hosting this for us week after week! It fits in with my personal challenge and reminds me to choose gratitude even when things aren't going so well.

Things this week went very well though! It's easy to be grateful on weeks such as these - when you are just living in the moment and the moment is peace. We had a marvelous time with our friends who came in from out-of-town and spent the week. It was awesome to have them around and meet their new little one (and have them meet ours!) On the last day that they were here, we all went to the Oregon coast for a day and I thought I'd share my five favorite photos from that little excursion. Enjoy!

What a playground, huh? Check the following out...

That's some pretty nice recessed lighting in the background there, isn't it? I LOVE that we live in Oregon!!!!

It was SUCH a beautiful and perfect day! I'm so glad we were able to take our friends out there and enjoy fabulous weather and gorgeous scenery. Now if we could just convince them to move up here and enjoy it with us more frequently.

Possibility? Probably not. =) So we have to enjoy these moments when we have them!

Carrie

What a beautiful world you live in! A magnificent sunset and little sons busy at play - a wonderful life. And with good friends to share it all with - that's a lot of blessings :)

Good fellowship with good friends is such a blessing.

What gorgeous scenery and photos. I wish we lived nearer the coast. But the coastline I have seen in SC and TX doesn't have those rocks or cliffs. Beautiful!

Good morning from a little North Carrie!
Love you coast photos. Glad you could get away and play. Now that we're back in the Northwest I'll have to try to funagle (sp?) a trip to the Oregon Coast!!

Well, if there's anything that could peel us away from California...that would probably be it. We had such a blast with you guys! :)

What gorgeous photos. I can almost hear that surf rolling in and the sea birds. Thanks for sharing the beauty.

As you may know, I'm a native Oregonian (as was my father!). I recognized the bridge photo ;) because I've stood exactly there too. I'm glad you were able to share the Oregon Coast with your friends.

Have a great weekend!

Choose gratitude: words I need to remind myself of often! I didn’t know Oregon was so beautiful.

The beach shot with the kids is my personal favorite. The plastic toys almost seem to glow.

And your "complimentary close" says it all -- content.

Happy weekend!

Looks like a great place. I am lucky enough to live about 10 minutes drive from the beach so my children grew up on the ocean. We live on the east coast. Your sunset pictures are spectacular.

Beautiful photos! I also love living in Oregon :). Is that Cannon Beach? Do you live near there?

Thanks for visiting my blog yesterday. Have a blessed weekend!

Beautiful!! I could take pictures of the sun over the ocean like that... only I'd have to get up WAY to early to catch the sunrise. ;) I'm sure sunsets are much better. :)
