A week off!

I've never declared a blog vacation. But! This week I'm gonna do it! I'm taking a week off from blogging and I'm not even allowing myself to pre-schedule posts. Because even that is work and I think a brain break is a good idea.

If you just can't STAND a week away from me (ha!ha!ha!) you can check out what I've been talking about at 5 Minutes for Books if you don't normally do so. Two of my "fun finds" of late have been the following (click on the links to see my review):

We Were Here First: Baby Blues comics! (I've been re-indulging in comics of late. It's fun. Don't judge. ha!)

My Quotable Kid - an AWESOME way to keep a record of all the hilarious things your kids say. Or that mine say. (I LOVE the toddler years!)

Then, just a fun Christian fiction read that I enjoyed:

Genoa Bay, by Bette Nordberg

There. That should hold you over at least a little while! =D In the meantime, I hope you all have an AWESOME week and a delightful Memorial Day celebration! See you back here after then!

Have a good week! I wish I had that quotable kids book when mine were small -- or I wish that I had thought to joy down some of the things they said. You think you'll always remember.....sigh....

I used to keep a journal when my son was young because he said the funniest things. I'm so glad I did that because I have a terrible memory and never would have remembered it all. He's 16 now, and every once in a while I'll read the journal and remind him of funny things he said or did. He's 16 now and the things he says now aren't so funny. (Ugh, teenagers)

I love that Baby Blues cartoon and read it in the paper every day! It cracks me up.

Have a great break. We all need that every so often.

Ooh, glad you're taking a break! Wait, that comes off wrong. I'll miss your blog. But I'm glad that you're *enjoying* a break. There, that's better.

I know you are having a great time on your break!! I'm still a little bitter that you are so close and we couldn't make a meet-up work. One day... :) Can't wait to hear about all the fun!

Hey, it was great meeting you at BEA this week! I took the week off too because there was no way I was going to be able to post while at BEA. I hope you have a nice restful week :)

Thanks, all, for the well-wishes. I think a week off was exactly what was needed to kind of refocus things a bit for myself.

It's good to be back though. ;)
