That doll is precious!

I'm hoping to get a head start this month just to make sure I do better than last year! :P

I'm thinking the American Girls Revue version gets the "homeliness" the best. I will confess having a huge crush on Meagan Follows as Anne in Jr. High, however.

I have only seen the Meagan Follows version, but I can't see anyone beating that one. :-)

Just wondering...have you read the pop-up version to your daughter yet?

Angie - Nope! It's on the Sacred Shelf. (She is a destructive little baby whereas books are concerned. Worse than the boys were! My first born wasn't destructive with books AT ALL. My second born wasn't near so violent. Baby? She just wants to grab and tear and eat! So I'm withholding books from her at the moment.)

Diary of an Autodidact (i.e., Tim) - I cannot stop laughing. Besides my dad, I've never ever come across another male who has admitted to liking the movie at all! THAT'S SO AWESOME! (it's a movie worth liking!) ;D For whatever reason, I guess....

I have been collecting books at used book sales all year just for this challenge! :)

I'm with Barbara about the Megan Follows one.

It's funny how despite Anne's insistence that she's awkward or unattractive, we never seem to picture her that way.

Carrie, it's even worse than that. I read the books before I saw the movie. I only made it through the first 4, however. Anne was less interesting as an adult, for some reason.

Love Megan Follows, of course.

I've been thinking about what I'm going to read next month. Maybe Emily--but the jury's still out.
