Taking a little break through the weekend

This past week has been a bit hectic and crazy and I'm way behind in everything. If you didn't catch the news, we had a smoke issue due to an overcooked chicken which has ended up turning us out of house and home for the moment.

We're displaced for about a month, living in temporary housing and replacing essentials as insurance gives us the thumbs up to do so.

Quite frankly, I'm tired and exhausted (and sick with a cold to boot!) I hope to have things calm down a bit through the weekend but for now I think I just need to admit that I need some down time. So, until next week then!

In the meantime, I heartily encourage you all to check out this post on Intentional Reading for Mothers which my Real-Life-and-In-Town friend wrote up. If you are looking for good books to read on the subject of mothering, she has some good suggestions. (I also loved her post on the Art of Letter Writing and I'm sure that it will leave some of you smiling.)

Have a great weekend!

Rest up -- as much as you can with three little ones and everything else going on.

"...if you don't have your health, you don't have anything.." I don't know why this Princess bride line popped into my head, but it did! I hope you get some more rest.
And good job taking a break when you need it!

I don't have anything to add to what others have said, but I read this and OH I feel for you.

Carrie, I'm so sorry this happened but am very thankful no one was hurt. Praying for you and hopefully everything is replaced quickly and easily!
