Well...it is an easy way to get young ones to say a "line" of the story...

But yeah, it does get old. Fast.

This looks cute but sounds significantly like it's anything but.

I have no idea -- I have never read or even heard of him. He looks awfully cute.

We used to have a book called "Mr. Cookie Baker" and it wasn't repetitive like the Biscuit books, but my littlest sister wanted it read over and over and over and over and over and over and...yes, I'm pretty sure it was the only book she'd read. I started to hide it, or make up alternate plots, or read it backward, or leave out pieces. Maybe you could give that a shot? Unless you feel it's being intellectually dishonest...which it kind of is.

I'm like Barbara - I've never heard of him. I'm guessing the novelty wears off fast? Sorry!

I have not read any of these books, and am so curious why you hate them!

Ha! Someone gave my son a Biscuit book when he was two. I think we read it one time and then it found it's way into the donation box!

@BerlinerinPoet - We have a drawer in my house where books sometimes go on 'vacation'...I dread the day that my 5yo discovers the drawer and brings them all out at once!

Amen, sister! I know EXACTLY what you are talking about.

*Carrie* - the answer is in the woof. ;D

He is cute. I'll give him that. But looks can be OH SO DECEIVING!

How can you not like Biscuit?! My guys like him. My beginner reader does a good job of reading Biscuit books to his little brother. :)
